VIS A VIS BRD – The new political satire for the up-and-coming German generation.

VIS A VIS BRD is a new political satire project started by Abbas Saberi, bringing young people together in Germany for the first time to give them a place to express themselves about current affairs through comedy and satire. The programme, filmed & streamed online in front of a live audience in the basement of KTV club (only recently shut down by the city) just opposite the building of the German Federal Intelligence Service aims to reach a wide audience. Amongst the guests you'll find comedians, musicians & performers all willing to hold up the mirror to the German nation in the most humourous way possible. The roughly 45 minute long show VIS A VIS BRD premieres on Friday the 9th March 2012 at 2030 and runs for 3 consecutive Fridays.

All four VIS A VIS BRD programmes will deal with current political, economical and/or social topics in a fast paced and ludicrous fashion. The creator and producer Abbas Saberi is the presenter of the show, regularly posing questions whilst his constantly changing cast of actors help him find solutions with a combination of parodies and sketches that are both hilarious and totally uncensored.

Until now Saberi was known for his work as co-producer and performer on the online show „Berlin Fucking City“ as well as being a comedian, actor and ghostwriter. The many charachters on the show, in their own special way, all hit the nail on the head. For the preface to one of the shows Saberi chose the only recently resocialized Ben Tewaag to tell us what is really pissing him off at the moment, creating an atmosphere that allows everyone to openly speak about what issues are moving them right now.

Leila Lowfire, the door lady of KTV, the club recently closed by the city gets some unofficial employment support letting her lean on her previous club skills, whilst the bureaucrats decide the fate of one of the last true Berlin nightclubs.

The music producer Belash Bidarian, known until now as the rapper B-Lash gets a chance to perform some of his local patriotism in front of the world and without holding back an inch, truly gives his best.

The comedy performer Idil Baydar, who with her alter ego „Jilet Ayse“ coined the phrase „Kiezkultur“ (neighbourhood culture) will use her established migrant German to give her two cents on the topic for VIS A VIS BRD.

VIS A VIS BRD has appointed their very own Federal President by inviting Lo Graf von Blickensdorf. The artist, author and self proclaimed Count will conclude every show with a detailed and patronising epilogue.  

Furthermore, we are looking forward to a guest appearance from the Jewish comedia Oliver Polak, video shorts from the presenters' right hand lady Isee Buch, as well as a new format of advertising in the form of comedy clips with innovative product placement. Special Guest on the night is singer/songwriter Matthias aka „The recorder of death“ with his song, „I never voted FDP“
