"Burnout" by Oliver Rath | Fashion Blog Uberding.net | UBERDING X ALTRUISM ART AUCTION | The Fashion Blog UBERDING looks back at three exciting, thrilling, and mainly wordy years. With the help of an uncontrollable secret weapon called the Internet, these three years were documented mercilessly and recorded for an eternity. Recorded are mainly portraits of artists, fashion flirtatiousness, and a lot of passion for humanity.
What that exactly means, may be seen on Saturday, July 9th, 7 pm to 9 pm. That evening Nordic charm, Ruhrpott-slang, Swabian discipline, and the Berlin easiness will meet in the Mother City and invite you to the three-year jubilee of the online magazine. UBERDING pops the corks together with the gallery Kollaborativ and THECOUP and lets the art speak for itself. Fashion is presented on the hosts’ bodies, far from the catwalks of Fashion Week - touching is allowed.
The evening focuses – as much as the virtual presence of the troop - on art, fashion, music, and a lot of charity. Themed "Altruism X OPENING ART AUCTION", short and sweet just "3XA THING ABOUT", the art of the already on the UBERDING portrayed artists Oliver Rath, Ewen Gur, Dirk Hoffmann, Sebastian Otto, and Alex Diamond is presented.
Art connects people and that evening art is meant to create a bridge to those who need support Therefore, along with music and art, an auction will take place on that evening. One work per artist will be put up for auction to celebrate the grace of charity, the visitors may bid on them, and proceeds go into the charity project “Hoffnungsliebe” (love of hope).
| ALTRUISM
Social Project "Hoffnungsliebe (love of hope)": The project has committed itself to the creative expression of frustration. The target group is children, adolescents, and young adults, aged 7 to 25 years. Collective work makes them realize to pursue a common goal, to develop mutual understanding, and to help each other. Weekly tasks result in the team spirit and communication among and with each other.
The children and adolescents learn develop common solutions for problem solving through verbal expression. The fascination of gaining knowledge and interest in literature and education will be awakened and strengthened in the mid-term. Through collective discussions, children and adolescents overcome the negative experiences from their everyday life and strengthen the awareness of their future. The project deals exclusively with the adolescents’ current problems, their frustration, violence, hopelessness, and hidden desires.
The expression and creative interpretation of this subject will lead to a sense of achievement which usually remains hidden for most people from the social focal point and serves as liberation of their fears. Therefore the belief in one's dreams is encouraged and ideals reach a higher priority in our dulled society. This project serves as call for the lost values, non-violent problem solving, and more fairness of opportunities for disadvantaged children, adolescents and young adults.
| ART AUCTION
The exhibiting artists put one of their paintings up for auction to generate donations for the social project “Hoffnungsliebe (Love of Hope)” on the evening of the vernissage. Art lovers have the opportunity to do something good at a unique favorable starting bid of €250 to €295. The artists, fashion activists as well as the supporters of the social project are on site and point to the strength of the solidarity of art and fashion. Companies in all industries are invited to participate in the spectacle.
OLIVER RATH Photo productions made by Rath carry an enormous energy, an urge, an addiction, no desire, nothing unhealthy, no one is unhappy, although he shows life in all its facets, hard and so wonderful that you get lost in it.
EWEN GUR Ewen Gur's work depicts a urban world no longer aware of its limits and leading itself to catastrophe. He describes the drifts and aberrations of consumerism in a humourous way. He paints our urban world with a self-assured line and he is fascinated, as a child would be, by its gigantic verticality. But however critical his work might be, Ewen's approach stays an optimistic one.
ALEX DIAMOND Whoever wants to build a personality cult, when it comes to Alex Diamond he bangs his head against a brick wall. The focus is not on the artist but on the work. Therefore it just seems right that Alex Diamond has turned into the Alex Diamond Mining Company, new and
| varying collaborationists have joined him.
DIRK HOFFMANN Young photographer from Berlin. The camera as a tool lets him play with an optical-dominated world. Playing is not meant as the feasibility of the world, not as the possibility for change – playing is meant as sharing new perspectives.
SEBASTIAN OTTO Sebastian Otto paints - he prefers to paint using chalk and charcoal. We see children in his pictures, especially girls. But he does not paint them as you usually like to imagine them, happy and laughing, beaming out of the picture, he paints the opposite. He seems to see right inside the little souls, those innocent, fragile creatures. Maybe that is the reason why we are deeply touched by his works - because they show the inside and not the appearance, to which we like to turn to in this superficial world.
In a nutshell, we say, despite all the love for the words: Writing about art is like dancing about architecture. That’s true, it is not possible to understand the beauty and power of a great work of art alone with words and so we invite you:
