wkndlvrs

Klick Klack, the sound of high heels meeting the pavement. Such is the sound of the weekendlovers label. The Berlin designers Ivonne Budimir and Inga Nietzelt use superior materials and unusual cuts to create a cool urban look suitable both for daylight and shimmering barlights.

Positioned firmly in the premium segment and relying on a wealth of experience the designers place great emphasis on professionalism, setting high standards for the quality of the processing as well as the materials featured in the clothes and accessories. In this way, every year, two women's wear collections are created as well as a men's wear product group. A constant focus on continued success and the professional attitude of the two Berlin ESMOD graduates form the foundations of the wkndlvrs philosophy. The weekend is most appealing after a week in which talents and possibilities are used, where time was not just wasted. What is essential is the passion for the things one does, whatever they may be. The weekend becomes like a prize, a way to break out, discover something new or do something totally different. All this comes to a bitter end on a Monday, sometimes a Tuesday. wkndlvrs is the expression of this lifestyle.
It's the smudged lipstick on the pillow in a strange hotel bed. One that you don't escape from with scruffy hair. Rather,

appearing in a silk jersey and an oversize shirt with last nights' new acquaintance among the other well off ladies and comfortably enjoying an Oyster breakfast. The pieces show off their everyday suitability the most under these kind of circumstances. The range flows from tank top to boyfriend shirt, floor length hippie skirt to sequined evening dresses. Naked edges, removed cuffs and dip dye discolorations are all part of the concept. The scarf collection, kept in a vintage look for a bit of time travel, looks to highlight the urban absurd and serves as an ironic reminder that what we one night look for with our friends, with our glasses, with our dreams, in the early morning becomes merely the past. But the bright colours, clouds and bleached patterns of the scarves contradict as if they wanted to shout „Something remains from the night, the world is not as black and white as it seems to you sometimes."
