The American martial arts expert and actor TAIMAK is the unforgettable, highly recognized and much-loved superhero from the legendary movie THE LAST DRAGON. Taimak was only nineteen when he was CAST as Bruce Leroy Green in his first leading role in THE LAST DRAGON, one of the most unique martial arts movies of all time.

The colorful, witty and ironically amusing martial arts comedy, produced by Motown music mogul Berry Gordy celebrated an impressive 30th anniversary revival in the US cinemas and Sony Home Entertainment released a special edition on Blu-Ray last year. Taimak has just finished a successful U.S. tour celebrating the launch of his autobiography and the screening of The Last Dragon, fans as well as new fans of The Last Dragon came to enjoy the movie with him. They took pictures with Taimak and then watched the movie and participated in a Q&A with the star. They left the event feeling excited and inspired about themselves and Taimak.

In THE LAST DRAGON martial arts student Bruce Leroy Green (Taimak), a young quietly heroic character, is on a quest to obtain the elusive all-powerful force known as “The Glow.” Along the way, he must battle the evil, self-proclaimed “Shogun of Harlem” – a kung fu warrior also known as Sho’nuff (Julius J. Carry III) – and rescue a beautiful singer (Prince protégée Vanity) from an obsessed record promoter. He learns that love, fear and confusion are all parts of life, he must embrace before he realizes that the key to the final level and the magical glow comes from within.
Combining pulsating music, cutting-edge dancing and the best in non-stop action, BERRY GORDY’S THE LAST DRAGON is kickin’ good fun featuring an amazing Motown soundtrack, including music by Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Vanity and DeBarge performing their smash hit “Rhythm of the Night .”

Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon is a comic book come to life. It is a fun, action filled fairy tale like story of Good vs. Evil. It's a kung-fu/motown musical/fairy tale.  Directed by Michael Schultz, Written by Louis Venosta and Produced by Rupert Hitzig.
There are so many reasons to love THE LAST DRAGON. One simple one - The Last Dragon has character! It shouldn't be taken at face value. At first glance you see an entertaining 80's kung fu movie, but beneath the surface we find a very spiritual, inspiring and uplifting film. It is purposely made to make fun of itself. It's a tribute to Bruce Lee, Martial Arts Movies, the 80s, Motown, Blaxploitation & Chinese philosophy. It demonstrates why we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, or in other words why we shouldn't stereotype- never underestimate or overestimate someone or something based on its appearance. Just like Martin Luther King Jr. said.

Since THE LAST DRAGON Taimak has appeared in many TV roles and theatre plays and worked as choreographer with such notables as Debbie Allen, Jaime King, Madonna on her Drowned World Tour, former rock band Bush as choreographer of their “Chemical Between Us” video and many others. In 2010 he was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Lately his exciting and compelling autobiography TAIMAK – THE LAST DRAGON was published; a truthful and insightful book about his life and his experiences all along the way from his childhood in NYC and Europe to his sudden fame from THE LAST DRAGON from the 1980s, to where he is today.

In addition Taimak created a wellness program for young people whose mission is to enable all participants to create and see a pathway to moment to moment happiness ( Since 2009 Taimak delivers numerous seminars in “at risk” communities around the country and notes, “I am blessed beyond measure to have had the opportunity to do so much and I hope to inspire and entertain some more. I am clear that the best is yet to come”.
