For 12 years he was the chief designer for Ella Singh and provided german A-celebrities like German TV lead presenter Frauke Ludowig or figure skating star Katarina Witt with glamorous red carpet gowns. Designer Mathias Maus is consulted for dazzling performances at events like Bambi, New Faces Award or the Oscar. With his new clubwear label "Mbrilliant" he gleams as a trend revolutionary, by refining the best piece of a man with a hip necklace. The first presentation will take place in an installation at the 11.11.11 in the centre of Berlin.

Lavishly studded and embroidered tops, jackets and leather hot pants with a metallic polish are the heart of the glamorous collection Mbrilliant. A robe of pearls and little stones as a showpiece is clothing the male phallus and is worn with a broad diadem as a hip necklace. The designer describes this innovation as a desire for emancipation. He wants to stage the masculine "scepter" and thus attain its cultivation - just like the woman's "Adam's apples" are exposed as a matter of course. Matthias Maus' fashion is an exorbitant statement for the re-establishment of splendid stones and embroidery, which is now - in the new millennium - worn as a "scepter- refinement".

 

From 1999 until today, the glamourist Matthias Maus was the chief designer at the premium label Ella Singh and dressed celebrities like Paris Hilton, Frauke Ludowig, Sonya Kraus, Katarina Witt and Katja Burkhard for the red carpet. He was responsible for the costume design of musical productions like "Robin Hood",  took on the embroidery work for the label Wunderkind by Wolfgang Joop and created award-winning shop window designs for Peek&Cloppenburg. The costumes of the actress Hanna Schygulla in the movie "Lilli Marleen" (Fassbinder 1980) influenced his career, while he is inspired by artist Dita van Theese, who managed to bring Burlesque into the fashion world. 

The designer Matthias Maus chose Berlin's centre as the place for a cross-bording presentation of the hip necklace and the new clubwear of Mbrilliant. On 11.11.2011 he will create an installation, where one can descend into a world without the constant need for judgement.
